GETTING STARTED
|
Follow these guidelines to get started with VoluMill on any part or any material.
- SFM (SMM): DOUBLE, or even TRIPLE, the cutting tool manufacturer's recommendation. Adjust from there (likely upwards).
- FPT: Keep manufacturer's recommendation. Upward adjustments likely (never downward).
- ADOC: Set to whatever the part or flute length allows.
- RDOC: 6% for harder materials,
40% for softer materials – interpolate for other grades.
- When you make adjustments let tool-life or cycle-time priority be your guide.
